Major League Gaming launches online tournaments for 'DOTA 2', 'League of Legends, with $21,000 prize
GameBattles, a tournament that is part of the Major League Gaming network, kicks off a series of online competitions today for Counter-Strike: GO, DOTA 2, and League of Legends with a $21,000 prize pool.
Beginning today, players can sign up to complete in new online ladder tournaments. The top teams will be seeded into a final bracket to play against each other in January 2013.
The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament has a total prize pool of $9,000 with a $1,000 prize for the SteelSeries, the DOTA 2 tournament has a prize pool of $5,000, and League of Legends has $5,000 up for grabs.
Players can sign up to compete or learn more about the tournament by visiting GameBattles.
