4A Games' post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Metro 2033 will be available for half its regular price from tomorrow until Monday, October 22nd, THQ announced today.

The games is based on the Russian novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The story is centered around a young man struggling through the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust in Moscow, Russia. The plot follows him through the city underground, where survivors live, up to the devastated surface.

The game was only $5 on Steam for one day last week, making this an excellent opportunity to snag the game at a discount if you haven't done so already. Recently the novel's film rights were purchased by MGM.
