Dokuro launch trailer asks, have you rescued a princess lately?
The launch trailer for Dokuro, GungHo Online Entertainment's 2D side-scrolling puzzle title, shows a few of the perils facing the game's tiny skeletal hero on his mission to rescue a kidnapped princess.
Inspired by children's tales like The Velveteen Rabbit and Kuma to Yamaneko, a Japanese story about a bear who loses his best friend, Dokuro is more than a simple escort mission. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, director Noriaki Kazama says the challenges in each level "come at the users with intent to kill."
Players can use different colored chalk to manipulate the environment, such as using bright red chalk to move fire, and have access to a wide range of other puzzle-solving tools including an anti-gravity device. Each new skill is added to little Dokuro's arsenal of tricks, with some levels requiring use of them all.
Dokuro is out today for PlayStation Vita through the PlayStation Store for $19.99.
