Dungeon Defenders developer celebrates one-year anniversary with free DLC, 75-percent-off sale
Dungeon Defenders, Trendy Entertainment's fusion of tower defense and action-RPG mechanics, launched one year ago this week on PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, and the studio is marking the occasion with free DLC and a Steam sale.
The Anniversary Pack, which is free on Steam for the next two weeks, includes a new campaign mission in which players must defend a tavern, along with some festive bonus content. In addition, Dungeon Defenders and all of its 22 pieces of paid DLC are available at a 75 percent discount through Oct. 18 as part of Steam's Midweek Madness sale. That brings the game itself from $14.99 down to $3.74.
We've reached out to Trendy to ask if the console versions of Dungeon Defenders will receive the anniversary content, and will update this article with any information we receive. Check out six screenshots above and a trailer for the Anniversary Pack below.
Update: A representative for Trendy told Polygon that the free Anniversary Pack DLC and 75-percent-off sale apply only to the PC version of Dungeon Defenders. He added, "We will have some console DLC coming out soon though for XBLA/PSN so stay tuned."
