Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut headed to PlayStation 3 in early 2013

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut, an HD remake of the 2010 open world survival horror game, is coming to PlayStation 3 in Q1 2013, publisher Rising Star Games announced today.

Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro, director of Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut, will bring HD graphics, updated controls including Move functionality, and new content to the game, which will launch between January 1st and March 31st, 2013. The Director's Cut will offer downloadable content to expand the original game, which gained cult status with its bizarre characters and scenarios.

"Love it or hate it, Deadly Premonition has been a phenomenon; 'cult' does not begin to do its success justice," said Martin Defries, president of Rising Star Games. "With the enhancements Swery and his team are making to this new PS3 version, I am delighted to confirm Rising Star Games' involvement with this fantastic game that should engage fans new and old alike."
