Infinity Blade Dungeons will release in 2013

Infinity Blade Dungeons, the dungeon-crawl spin-off of Epic Games' Infinity Blade series, will be released in 2013, reports AllThingsD.

The game will be the first project to come out of Impossible Studios, Epic's Maryland-based studio comprised of former Big Huge Games employees affected by the collapse of 38 Studios. Dungeons was first announced in March alongside Apple's reveal of its new iPad, with Epic saying the game was "coming soon."

"Ever since the talented team at Impossible Studios got their hands on Infinity Blade Dungeons, they've been busy adding their great ideas to the game," Epic PR manager Wes Phillips told AllThingsD.

"There was also the matter of getting the Impossible Studios team up and running with desks, chairs, staplers and computers," he added. "The logistics of a new studio and implementing all these great ideas required a little extra time, so Infinity Blade Dungeons will hit iOS in 2013."
