Presidential race re-imagined as a fighting game

Slate launched its latest campaign series today – Political Kombat 12 – which tells the story of the 2012 presidential race in the form of animated video game fights.

Political Kombat 12 mashes the conventions from fighting games with caricatures of the US presidential nominees – the first episode recounts the Republican primaries, pitting Mitt Romney against his then-rivals Rick Santorum and Herman Cain. In upcoming episodes, Slate will pit Romney against Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul, while following episodes will imagine a fight between President Obama and Donald Trump, and Joe Biden against Ron Paul. The final battle will be President Obama against Mitt Romney.
