Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 events scheduled for game launch day and New York Comic Con

Nintendo has planned several events in New York City to celebrate the October 7th release of Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, the publisher announced today.

On Saturday, October 6th, from 9 am to 2 pm, the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Center will offer players the chance to purchase the games one day early, with the first 1,000 buyers receiving a special limited edition Pokemon scarf.

Nintendo will also provide an interactive Pokemon experience at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 13th. The Launch Celebration will take place from noon to 8 pm at SIR Stage37, and admission is free and open to the public, including those without a New York Comic Con badge.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 owners who bring their Nintendo DS or 3DS and copy of the game have the opportunity to snag the legendary Pokémon Genesect. Fans can attend performances by nintendocore band I Fight Dragons as well as a live Pokemon stage show, and get hands-on time with Pokédex 3D Pro for Nintendo 3DS before its release on November 8th.

Attendees at both events will be given tickets redeemable on-site for special Pokemon goodies.
