The Call of Duty series' first ever main female character is described as someone "you'll want around in a sticky situation," according to character voice actress Erin Cahill speaking in an interview with Complex.
Treyarch previously confirmed the game would feature a female fighter pilot, as well as both a female President and a female character that will fill a more primary role in the game. Activision is keeping most details about this upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 character close to its chest, including her name; However, Cahill offers a description of the character who is said to be "a very cool girl, and very relatable."
"But she's tough, but she's not, I think," explains Cahill. "What people are going to be expecting. Which is good, because it's unexpected. And she's intelligent, and fierce. She's just fierce. I really do think that she's going to be liked, because she's the kind of girl you'd want to have a beer with, and also the kind of girl you want on your side. I don't know how much of that you'll get to see. You'll get to see some of it. You'll want her around in a sticky situation. I'll just put it that way."
Cahill clarifies that the character is not gruff, but rather "feisty and sassy," stating:
"She is very tough, but yes, she's a girl, and she's got emotions, and you know, I don't think I tried to play her-I think I played her as tough as I could, but I'm a fairly feminine, feisty lady, so that's just there inherently."
Cahill's past voice acting work includes roles in BioWare MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 on November 13th. A Wii U version is due at that console's launch.
