Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened heading to iPad this year

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, developer Frogwares' sleuth-centric game adventure game, is headed to iPad later this year, according to a post on the developer's website.

The game puts players in the role of the titular detective, solving logic puzzles in a world "that melds Holmes’ rationalism with H.P. Lovecraft’s supernaturalism," according to the developer. Frogwares writes that the game, which sees Holmes and Dr. Watson solving a kidnapping case in London, Switzerland and New Orleans, will be available in Q4 2012, which ends Dec. 31, 2012.
