Crysis 2 will be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers in Europe next month

PlayStation 3 owners in Europe who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will get Crysis 2 for free as part of their subscription starting in November.

On the official European PlayStation Blog, Sony dates Crysis 2's free availability for Plus subscribers starting Nov. 7. The game, released in 2011 by Electronic Arts and Crytek, is said to be the "tip of the iceberg" for PlayStation Plus content in November.

Sony plans to expand its PlayStation Plus service to the PS Vita in November as well.

Sony Computer Entertainment America has not made a similar announcement yet about its free game offerings in November. In October, Plus subscribers were granted free access to NFL Blitz, The King of Fighters XIII and Payday: The Heist in North America.
