ibb and obb co-op platformer hitting PSN next spring
ibb and obb, a two-player cooperative platformer from indie developer Sparpweed, will hit the PS3 via the PlayStation Network next spring, the studio announced today on PlayStation Blog.
The title features a unique mechanic which divides the world horizontally, the lower portion of which has its gravity reversed. Players can pass between the two planes using special gates, and must use the two areas strategically to traverse levels; for instance, when a player on the top side kills an enemy, and player on the bottom side will be able to grab whatever loot they may drop.
It's an easier concept to demonstrate visually than textually, so check out the gameplay trailer below to watch the gravity-swapping mechanics in motion.
