Far Cry 3 dev diary takes a tour of the Rook Islands

Far Cry 3's deadly archipelago is the subject of a new developer's diary showcasing the open-world game's interactive locales and vicious wildlife, as seen above.

The video shows some of the lush, natural environments of the Rook Islands, which players can explore by land, by sea or by hang glider. It also shows how players can siege the region's enemy-held bunkers, and offers a few tips on how not to be eaten by tigers.

Far Cry 3 launches on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC Dec. 4.
