The fifth and final episode of the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn webseries brings an end to the story of protagonist Thomas Lasky with a 17 minute-long finale.

"After a terrifying night of combat and loss, Lasky makes a life-or-death decision to help the Master Chief... but will it be enough to save them all from the Covenant?" reads this week's plot synopsis.

Fans of the webseries can get a hold of an extended edit of Forward Unto Dawn which will be included in the Halo 4 Limited Edition, along with bonus footage and content.

The first episode of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn introduced the webseries' protagonist Thomas Lasky, with the second episode focusing more fully on cadet life. Episode 3 showed the cadets confronted by an unexpected war, followed by the destructive outcome of the Covenant invasion in Episode 4.

Halo 4 launches on Xbox 360 on Nov. 6. The game released a 9.5 out of 10 from Polygon, in a review that states developer 343 Industries "nailed exactly why the series became a genre-defining franchise."
