Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires will release in North America and Europe in February 2013, Tecmo Koei announced today.

The PlayStation 3 exclusive was released in Japan earlier this month and will be making its way to North America on Feb. 19, 2013 and PAL territories on Feb. 22, 2013.

Empires is a spin-off from the core Dynasty Warriors series. It features a revamped Edit Mode that has weapon animations and allows users to edit facial features, and characters can also be shared with others players. The game is more tactical than the main Dynasty Warriors series, which usually has a stronger focus on narrative.

The Empires edition also comes with a new playable character, Xu Shu, and if a user shares a character he or she has created, it will exhibit behaviors based on the player's playstyle.
