Dead Island: Riptide screenshots feature dozens of re-dead zombies

A new batch of screenshots for Dead Island: Riptide showcase just a few of the options players have at their disposal for disposing of the undead.

Like its predecessor, Dead Island: Riptide lets players fend off zombies using a wide variety of melee weapons — the oar seen in the gallery above is a pretty iconic option for the game's waterlogged environment. If you're lucky enough to find a gun and ammo, that's a great option too; although, nothing holds a candle to explosives when you've got a herd of zombies to clear. Mostly because holding candles near explosives is very, very dangerous.

Dead Island: Riptide launches April 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
