Green Day: Rock Band albums, Kenny Loggins tracks coming to Rock Band

Next week's set of Rock Band downloadable content is a whopper, adding more than 40 Green Day tracks — almost the entirety of the Green Day: Rock Band soundtrack — along with two Kenny Loggins hits to the franchise's music library on Nov. 13.

Each of the Loggins tracks, "Footloose" and "I'm Alright," will be available for $1.99 on PlayStation Network, 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace and $2.00 on the Wii Shop; a Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade for "Footloose" will cost an additional $0.99 or 80 MS Points.

Until now, the Green Day songs in question were only available in Green Day: Rock Band, the 2010 game focusing on the two-decades-long-and-counting career of the rebellious three-man band. The game includes three full Green Day albums: the band's seminal breakout hit, Dookie (1994); its mainstream rock opera, American Idiot (2004); and its second rock opera, 21st Century Breakdown (2009). All three, plus a three-pack of other songs from Green Day: Rock Band, are coming next Tuesday, the release date for the band's latest album, ¡Dos!.

It's worth noting that Green Day: Rock Band itself can be purchased, even new, for under $15 — so if you want more than a few of the songs listed below, you're much better off just picking up the entire disc.
