Gaming prop maker creates a functional replica of Fallout 3's Terrible Shotgun
Prop maker Harrison Krix of Volpin Props has brought the Terrible Shotgun from Fallout 3 to life, recreating the weapon out of wood and vacuum-formed plastic.
Krix sanded wood, melted plastic and cast resin into a weapon that is not only accurate to the in-game original, but functional — minus the shells, of course. The whole project took Krix about four weeks, from crafting each individual part to assembling the finished product into a weapon fit for an action RPG hero.
Check out the Volpin Props blog for a detailed step-by-step description of the materials Krix used and how he worked with them to create the Shotgun.
Thanks, Dan!
