Fire Emblem: Awakening video may or may not feature Marth
Nintendo touched on Fire Emblem: Awakening in its most recent Nintendo Direct presentation, but in an overview video released today, the company went much further into the strategy RPG, explaining its mechanics and story.
Awakening focuses on Chrom, the leader of an organization known as the Shepherds that defends its land from bandits. His party also includes his lieutenant, Frederick, and his younger sister, Lissa. Relationships are key in this story; you'll forge bonds in battle as well as in the barracks. Fighting together will be vital to defeating the Risen, undead soldiers who are invading the kingdom. A masked figure claiming to be Marth offers a hand in the fight, an element of the story that is told in pre-rendered anime-style cutscenes.
Fire Emblem: Awakening launches in North America on Feb. 4, 2013, on Nintendo 3DS.
