Far Cry 3 Uplay rewards include new weapon, extra mission

Far Cry 3 players who are also members of Uplay, Ubisoft's free rewards program, can unlock bonus content ranging from themes for their console dashboards to an extra mission, according to a trailer released yesterday by Ubisoft.

Accrued Uplay points can be spent on the following in-game content:

  • 10 Units - Far Cry 3 theme (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3)
  • 20 Units - Tattoo Pack
Customize your character in multiplayer with an exclusive set of arm tattoos. Once redeemed, the new tattoos are unlocked in the Tattoo Editor.
  • 30 Units - Revolving Gift
The "CANNON" version of the revolver gun holds three attachments: Longer Barrel, Scope and Extended Magazine. In other terms: more power, better accuracy and more bullets! Once redeemed, the CANNON revolver is available in any regular shop in the game.
  • 40 Units - Exclusive Assignment
The "Testing Unit" bonus mission lets you explore a dark underground laboratory, inhabited by diverse beasts. Some big, some small, all dangerous. Once redeemed, activate the radio tower in E6 to see the mission icon on the map.

Check out the trailer above for more details. Far Cry 3 launched in North America on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 earlier this month.
