PlayStation Network will be down on Monday, Dec. 3 for an eight-hour maintenance window, PlayStation announced.

Downtime is expected to take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, or 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT. In a post on the community forums, Digital Platforms Community Manager Tempest_Fire explained that some aspects of online play might still be available.

"If you've signed onto PSN over the past few days, you'll still be able to play online and access apps during this period," the post reads, "but you may receive a maintenance notification while attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management as these will be unavailable.

Sony recommends that users wanting to access the aforementioned services during the maintenance window sign in now.
