LittleBigPlanet dev says Merry Christmas with seasonal DLC, levels

Christmastime is a special season, especially for LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule — every year, the developer releases holiday-themed DLC and highlights community creations for Christmas.

Three sets of seasonal DLC are currently available on the PlayStation Store: the Festive Minipack, Santa Costume and Winter Creator Kit (see above). Get them while you can, since they'll be gone once 2013 rolls around and won't reappear until the same time next year. If you want to make your own Christmas levels, having some holiday music on hand will help, so check out the music giveaway from Craftworld Christmas Collaboration.

Owners of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita have their own holiday levels to check out, as curated by that game's community here. And LittleBigPlanet Karting players can check out tracks like "Wintery Wonderland," which features mountains, caves and forests, as well as Santa's sleigh itself.

"Merry Christmas from all at the LittleBigPlanet Team," said community coordinator Steven Isbell. "We cannot wait to see what our amazingly creative community will bring to LittleBigPlanet in 2013."
