The Walking Dead first episode free on Xbox 360 until Dec. 31

The Walking Dead's first episode, A New Day, is free for Xbox 360 owners to download "for a limited time," Telltale announced yesterday.

The first episode of the five-part season of The Walking Dead games is also available for free on iOS devices for a limited time. The rest of the season can be purchased for 400 Microsoft Points ($5) per episode — iOS players can grab the season for a discounted price of $15, but no such option exists on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Update: According to Telltale Games PR representative Job Stauffer, the first episode of The Walking Dead will be free on Xbox Live Arcade until Dec. 31.
