The Persona 3 movie, a film adaptation of Atlus' popular role-playing game, will be the first of an unspecified number, according to a title update on the official website.

The film is now labeled Persona 3 the Movie #1, though no clarification has been provided on how many movies will be made. No other details have been given.

Polygon reported on the Persona 3 movie back in June, when the film adaptation was revealed during the final scene of Persona 4 The Animation: The Factor of Hope. The movie is slated for theatrical release in 2013.

Persona 3 dropped in North American in 2007 for PlayStation 2. It has since been released on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
