Look back through the history of games music in rap tunes with this mashup

Spin magazine has put together a mashup video featuring footage from 50 games used as the base of rap songs, the samples taken from a list posted to the magazine's website back in October.

The video is in chronological order of game release dates, with a clip of the song each title inspired playing along with the footage. It's all in there, from The Chilly Kids' homage to Space Invaders to Lil B's sampling of Final Fantasy 10 tracks to Lil Wayne's "She Will," which borrows from the score of last year's popular iOS title Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery.

Take a listen as everything from Street Fighter 2 to to Kingdom Hearts is tapped to help these rappers style their tunes.
