Pikmin 3 trailer showcases new Rock Pikmin, game delayed to Q2 2013

Pikmin 3, Nintendo's upcoming tiny critter management simulator, was delayed to Q2 2013 and is the subject of a gameplay trailer released today featuring the game's new Rock Pikmin.

Nintendo revealed Pikmin 3 at E3 2012. At a press conference in September, Nintendo slated the release for the Wii U's North American launch window, which ran from Nov. 18, 2012 through the end of March 2013. Today's announcement, made during a Nintendo Direct event, revises the game's release to sometime between April 1 and June 30, 2013.

Check out the trailer above to see the new Rock Pikmin, several battles with long-tongued creatures and Captain Olimar and his loyal Pikmin, who have made the transition to high definition.
