God of War: Ascension concept art shows stony temples and steely skies

New concept art released today for God of War: Ascension shows some of the game's environments, a lush smattering of grays and warm red hues depicting scenes from intimidating stone buildings and sunlit marketplace alleys.

Some of the above artwork shows areas players will pass through in Ascension, from carpet-strewn rooftops to rock walkways cut into the side of cliffs. The red and sandy gold color scheme of God of War is present in each work's coloring, meshing with grey rock, multicolored canopies and steely blue sky.

God of War: Ascension will be released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive on March 12 in North America, March 13 in Europe and March 15 in the UK.
