Nintendo brought these three Wii U videos to the Sundance Film Festival
Nintendo debuted three Wii U videos made by YouTube filmmakers in its Lounge Area at the Sundance Film Festival this year, all of which were made as part of the Nintendo 48 Hour Wii U Challenge.
The company grouped 12 YouTube filmmakers into three teams and gave them 48 hours to create a video about the Wii U. The result was the following three videos. The videos each approach the challenge differently. The first team (lead video above) is about a team of game designers trying to come up with the next Mario game. The second team (immediately below) told a story of a science nerd concocting potions to make gold coins shoot from a human's fingers. The third team (final video) created a rap where Nintendo game characters rapped against a money-hungry business exec.
