Tomb Raider will be the first Square Enix title to get Arabic localization
Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider will be the first published Square Enix title to be localized in Arabic, the official Tomb Raider Tumblr announced in a post today.
At a Tomb Raider event held in Dubai today, it was announced that Lebanese actress Nadine Njeim will be the voice of Lara Croft in the Arabic version.
Njeim was crowned Miss Lebanon in 2007 and has starred in several television dramas and films, including Bila zakira, Ghazl elie Baneit and Jude. She also hosted the Middle Eastern version of talent-seeking television shown The Voice last year.
"We are really excited to be bringing Tomb Raider localized into Arabic for the first time in the series history," said Square Enix global brand director Karl Stewart. "In localizing Tomb Raider into Arabic, we hope to reward the long term fans, and also attract many more to this origin story of Lara Croft."
