Dead Space 3 fights to take down the Necromorph terror for good to the tune of Phil Collins

The launch trailer for the latest addition to the Space-horror series, Dead Space 3, shows protagonist Isaac's attempt to take down the Necromorph terror for good.

The short video offers some combat-driven in-game footage with Isaac fighting against the game's numerous enemies, all to the dulcet tones of Phil Collins and "In The Air Tonight."

Check out Polygon's recent interview with Visceral Games' Steve Papoutsis about what is necessary to keep the franchise strong, how to make create a sense of horror without making players weak and how the introduction of co-op requires the creation of a new form of horror.

Dead Space 3 is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on Feb. 5.
