MLB 13 The Show revealed, cover voting open next week

MLB 13 The Show received its first trailer today, showing off an all-new Playoff Mode and announcing that voting to determine who will appear on the game's cover begins next week.

The new Playoff Mode includes "an in-stadium atmosphere that replicates the excitement and tension of October baseball." The game will also have features like a completely new beginner mode with instructional enhancements to make the game more accessible to new players, and tweaks have been made to the Play Now mode, which "streamlines gameplay for the option to play faster and simpler games."

Two other modes, The Show's Franchise and Road To The Show have also been expanded to have new gameplay options.

MLB 13 The Show is currently in development for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita and is due to release March 5, 2013. Cover voting begins Jan. 7, 2013 and voters will be able to choose from Matt Kemp (Los Angeles Dodgers), Ryan Braun (Milwaukee Brewers), Andrew McCutchen (Pittsburgh Pirates), Bryce Harper (Washington Nationals), CC Sabathia (New York Yankees), Buster Posey (San Francisco Giants) and Miguel Cabrera (Detroit Tigers).
