Professor Layton confections available in Japan with a mystery in each box
Confections based on developer Level-5's Professor Layton series of portable puzzle solving mysteries are available in Japan, according to a product listing on gpara.com.
Manufactured by the Ezaki Glico Co., the bite-sized confections come in two varieties: chocolate and tea cake flavors. The treats will be available nationwide until the end of March 2013 to coincide with the Japanese release of Professor Layton and the Legacy of Super Civilization A, a Nintendo 3DS game that is billed as the Professor's finale. Each box comes with a card that includes a Layton-esque riddle.
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, a mashup of the two handheld franchises, released late last year in Japan to positive reviews. Neither game has been scheduled for release outside of Japan.
