European Wii U owners can now purchase a Nintendo-sanctioned high-capacity battery for the Wii U GamePad, according to listings on Amazon U.K. and Amazon Germany.
The new official Wii U battery adds 2,500mAh, which will net players between five and eight hours of uninterrupted game time. For comparison, the standard GamePad battery that ships with the console packs 1,500mAh and lasts between three and five hours before it needs to be charged.
The U.K. retail website lists the battery for 24.99 British pounds, while Germans can snag the battery for 35.89 euros. Buyers in the U.K. will have to sit tight, however, due to an estimated one to three-week delivery time. In Germany, customers can expect to get their battery in three to four days.
Back in May, the high-capacity battery was announced for launch in Japan. There is currently no word on the battery's availability in North America.
