Call of Duty: Ghosts developer Infinity Ward has posted a video and FAQ aimed at clan leaders and clan members. They outline clan benefits as well as early registration information and new guidelines.
The clan system has been overhauled, requiring new registrations and a new set of rules. Call of Duty Elite clans are required to register on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the FAQ, which also states that leaders can register their members' names.
Only Call of Duty Elite clan leaders can reserve their current clan name as their Call of Duty: Ghosts clan name. Clan members will be allowed to email or post invitations via social media for extra recruits.
Players will only be allowed to register a single clan membership, even if they play on more than one console, a result, says Infinity Ward, of the introduction of cross-platform clans. Information has also been posted on issues like leaving old clans and joining new ones, cross-platform clan rules and clan tags.
"Clans in Call of Duty: Ghosts will include deeper in-game integration and more features," states the FAQ. "From in-game clan management and clan-specific playlists to the all-new Call of Duty Clan Wars game mode available in the new Call of Duty app. This year also introduces cross-platform clans."
