Eve Online universe Dark Horse comics and artbook coming Feb. 19

The EVE Online universe will get the Dark Horse Comics treatment with a comic series tie-in titled Eve EVE: True Stories and a source guide called EVE: Source.

EVE: True Stories will feature artwork by Alejandro Aragon (Overlook, 28 Days Later), Tomm Coker (Daredevil Noir, Near Death), Federico Dallocchio (Batman: Arkham Unhinged, Suicide Squad), Dave Ross (Star Wars: The Crimson Empire Saga) and Mark McKenna (Star Wars: The Old Republic). EVE: True Stories writer is Daniel Way, who has previously worked on Wolverine: Origins and Deadpool.

The first issue of EVE: True Stories comic issue #1 will be available digitally beginning Feb. 19. The first issue will be based on an "account of the action, intrigue and skullduggery that dismantled the galaxy-sprawling superpower," the player alliance known as the Band of Brothers. The remaining issues will release on March 5, March 19 and April 2, 2014, with a hardback edition slated for release in comic stores on June 4.

The EVE: Source 184-page, full-color hardcover sourcebook and visual guide will feature information from universes of EVE Online and DUST 514. According to the announcement, it will include "never-before-released material detailing the settings, stories, races and factions of the EVE Universe." EVE: Source is slated for sale beginning March 5, 2014.
