Hyper Light Drifter by Alex Preston (aka Heart Machine) has completed its Kickstarter campaign with $645,158 in funding.
More than 24,000 backers contributed to the Kickstarter, which launched last month with a target of $27,000. Achieved stretch goals include PlayStation 4, Vita and Wii U versions of the game, an art book, extended cinematics and extra staff members.
The exploration and combat game was pitched as a game that "plays like the best parts of A Link to the Past and Diablo." It's been created with the help of Beau Blyth (Samurai Gunn) with a soundtrack by Rich Vreeland (aka Disasterpeace) whose previous work includes Fez.
"We are so excited to produce this game with the resources you, the amazing fantastic incredible community, have provided us," wrote Preston in an update. "We have the funds, now we need to get to the fun part; making the game."
