The Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag downloadable content that is currently exclusive to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 won't be a timed exclusive — it will remain exclusive to those platforms forever, reports Eurogamer.
The report contradicts information that came out of a trailer released by Sony last week that advertised the library of games coming to PS4. According to that trailer, the PlayStation-exclusive DLC for both Assassin's Creed 4 and Watch Dogs is only exclusive for six months, which suggests that it will become available on other platforms after that time frame.
Sony originally announced the PlayStation-exclusive add-ons for both games at E3, saying that each title would offer an hour of extra content on PS3 and PS4. The bonus Assassin's Creed 4 missions focus on Aveline de Grandpré, the protagonist of the 2012 PlayStation Vita title Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation.
We've reached out to Ubisoft for more details on the PS3 and PS4 DLC exclusivity for both Assassin's Creed 4 and Watch Dogs, and will update this article with any information we receive.
