EverQuest: Call of the Forsaken, the 20th expansion for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, rolled out today, featuring a new storyline, new zones, mercenary system updates and more, Sony Online Entertainment announced today.
New zones include West Karana, Neriak 4th Gate, Bixie Warfront and the Deadhills. The expansion also features new raids, tradeskill recipes, two new shared Bank Slots, new spells and gear. New missions offer players a "new experience each time players adventure through them," along with the opportunity to chance upon new loot and rares.
EverQuest: Call of the Forsaken introduces a specialized "Mercenary Alternate Advancements," allowing players to customize the skills of mercenaries. Players will now also be able to manage mercenary equipment.

"As we approach the 15th anniversary of EverQuest in 2014, the influence of the franchise is unparalleled in the MMO genre. This latest expansion demonstrates our continued commitment to bring the highest quality content to one of the most dedicated player communities in the industry."
Sony first released details about Call of the Forsaken during SOE Live in August, along with an announcement about EverQuest 2 expansion Tears of Veeshan.
