How video games treat death and why they might help with your fear of mortality

PBS GameShow, a weekly video feature that launched in the summer, has taken on its biggest subject yet; Death.

The show, which has tackled various issues like online bullying and sexism, this week looks at the changing role death has played in games over the past three decades. From the three-life model of the arcade era, to perma-death models like DayZ, host Jamin Warren asks if games can change the way we view our own mortality, and looks at how humans cope with death anxiety.
