Spelunky's "Eggplant Run" has been mastered solo, and there's a video to prove it.
Mossmouth's randomly generated platformer is difficult by its very nature, but there are items that add extra challenges. The Eggplant, which can appear when a player places a Mystery Box on a sacrificial altar, does just that. On the lighter side, it changes the background music to a chiptune soundtrack. But if you can manage to carry it all the way to the end of the game and throw it at the final boss, King Yama, he'll eat it and transform into a one-hit-kill eggplant.
A Spelunky player who goes by the name of "Bananasaurus Rex" on YouTube did just that and caught his achievement on video. Press play above to see his nearly 90-minute Spelunky escapade. Fair warning: It's peppered with NSFW language.
