Bit.Trip Runner 2 awaiting console certification despite last minute bugs

Despite some last minute setbacks, Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, the upcoming sequel to Gaijin Games's rhythm-based platformer, is awaiting certification on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, according to a post on Gaijin Games' website by co-founder Alex Neuse.

The developers found last minute problems with two versions. A bug on the PlayStation version meant that the game lost a "very minor leaderboard feature" that Neuse describes "just icing." A bug discovered right before submitting the Wii U version set the process back three days. The Xbox version was "free of drama."

"In the end," Neuse wrote, "this is by far the most ambitious submission process Gaijin has ever done, and we're not even finished yet (PC, Mac, Linux, you're next!)." You can also pre-order the game at 10 percent off for Mac and Windows PC on Steam, where it's expected to be released Feb. 26, 2013.
