The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct on Wii U won't be released in Australia

The Wii U version of Activision's first person shooter The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct won't see an Australian retail release due to low demand, Australian site Vooks reported today.

"As with every game release, publishers decide which platforms to release based on customer demand. Unfortunately it wasn't there for the Wii U sku on The Walking Dead," Activision said in a statement to Vooks.

The game based on the Walking Dead AMC TV series is set for release on March 19 and March 20 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows, in the U.S and Australia, respectively. It will be released on March 22 in the U.K. and March 26 in U.S. for Wii U.

Polygon contacted Activision and Nintendo and will update as more information becomes available.
