Sony's Evolution of PlayStation retrospective quickly looks back at PSP and PS Vita

In the final days leading up to PlayStation Meeting 2013, where Sony Computer Entertainment is expected to unveil its next-generation PlayStation, the company looks back at its venture into portable gaming hardware in the latest Evolution of PlayStation retrospective.

The fourth video in the Evolution series touches on the E3 2003 reveal of the PlayStation Portable and highlights a few key releases, like Patapon, Dissidia Final Fantasy and The 3rd Birthday. The retrospective devotes more time to Sony's current handheld, the PlayStation Vita, and the technical innovations that merged gameplay experiences between the Vita and PlayStation 3.

For a look back at Sony's other, non-portable video game platforms, catch up on the Evolution of PlayStation's videos devoted to the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3.
