Mass Effect 3: Reckoning trailer shows off new characters, weapons and equipment

BioWare released a trailer today for its Mass Effect 3 multiplayer expansion, Reckoning.

The minute-long trailer introduces the new found allies of Mass Effect 3 and shows The Geth Juggernaut, Cabal Vanguard, Talon Mercenary, Alliance Infiltration Unit and more joining forces to stop the Reaper threat.

In a BioWare live stream broadcast earlier today, the developers ran through some of the characters, weapons and equipment that players can expect to see in the Reckoning expansion pack.

Among the weapons included in the expansion are the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle (a portable Geth Gatling gun), the Venom Shotgun (explosive-round firing shotgun), the Lancer Assault Rifle (a new assault rifle), the Blood Pack Executioner Pistol (a Magnum-like pistol), the Chakram Launcher Assault Rifle (an explosive disk launching rifle), the Blood Pack Punisher SMG (heavy submachine gun) and the Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle (electricity-based rifle).

The expansion also adds equipment like a Geth Scanner, a Pistol Power Amplifier, a Batarian Gauntlet and more.

A list of the new content being added was documented on the NeoGAF forum. The Mass Effect 3: Reckoning expansion releases tomorrow.
