God of War: Ascension videos focus on single-player story as demo launches
While Sony has mostly been highlighting God of War: Ascension's multiplayer component, today the company released two videos highlighting the traditional story campaign.
The launch trailer (above) focuses on the story in this prequel to the God of War series, where Kratos is younger and is still a general in the Greek army, with a wife and daughter whom (spoiler alert!) he hasn't killed yet.
In "Single Player Ascends" (below), the next entry in developer Sony Santa Monica's behind-the-scenes "Unchained" series, the studio explains how it's trying to evolve the tenets of God of War while ensuring that everything makes sense from a chronological standpoint in the story of Kratos.
God of War: Ascension launches March 12, two weeks from today, exclusively on PlayStation 3. A single-player demo will be available on PlayStation Network today.
