Angry Birds cartoon series coming March 16 and 17

Rovio will premiere a new cartoon series based on Angry Birds on March 16-17 called Angry Birds Toons, according to a promotional trailer released today.

A new episode from the animated series will be available online each week starting from the weekend of March 16-17. The blurb for Angry Birds Toons suggests that the animated series will tell the backstory of the popular game, and answer questions like: "What makes Bomb Bird so angry? Why is the King Pig the King Pig? And are those mischievous piggies ever going to get hold of the eggs?"

Updates are expected on the Angry Birds website.
