Veteran actor Robin Sachs, best known throughout the gaming community for his voice acting in Mass Effect and Dragon Age, passed away at the age of 61, it was revealed through his official website.

Sachs is recognizable for his roles as the voice of Lord Pyral Harrowmont in the original Dragon Age, as well as mercenary Zaeed throughout the Mass Effect series. His career also included a featured role in Buffy: The Vampire Slayer as Ethan Rayne, as well as roles in Babylon 5 and Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Sachs was born in London and went on to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He continued with a career in theater, performing in plays by Tom Stoppard and Arthur Miller.
