Aliens: Colonial Marines video revisits 'Contact' trailer

Aliens: Colonial Marines launches in five days, and publisher Sega released an extended cut of the game's "Contact" cinematic trailer today to continue building anticipation for the game, a canonical sequel to the film Aliens.

Sega originally released the "Contact" trailer just over a year ago.

The trailer is scored to the haunting sounds of Clint Mansell's "Welcome to Lunar Industries," a piece from the soundtrack to the Duncan Jones film Moon. It takes viewers through the U.S.S. Sulaco, a spaceship, with scenes illustrating the Xenomorph infestation of the vessel and the Colonial Marines' futile attempts to fight off the creatures.

Colonial Marines' score was composed by Kevin Riepl, who also did the music for the original Gears of War.

Aliens: Colonial Marines, developed by Gearbox Software, launches Feb. 12 on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A Wii U release will arrive at a later date.
