Obscure spin-off is a co-op brawler with a slasher-film heart

Obscure, the Hydravision Entertainment-developed survival horror title first released to North America in 2005, now has a spin-off title in development by staff of the former developer that have gone on to form Mighty Rocket Studios.

The upcoming title of the same name is being developed as a side-scrolling action title influenced by the blood and comedy styling of teen slasher films. The game allows up to four-player co-op, with players taking on the roles of a group of students with special individual abilities, adapting the old franchise into a brawler with non-linear levels.

Obscure is scheduled to his PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network this spring.
