Defiance video introduces the Ninety-Niners

One of the many enemy groups in Defiance is the Ninety-Niners, the focus of a new video released today by publisher Trion Worlds.

The Ninety-Niners are "crazed cyborgs," miners who gave up their humanity to augment their bodies in ways that would help them scour the Earth for minerals and other precious commodities. When they were human, they ran the Muir Union Mining Company. Their cybernetic enhancements give them superhuman strength, and they're fiercely territorial beings — so be careful when you're traipsing through Ninety-Niner country.

Defiance, a first-person shooter MMO that is tied into a Syfy television series of the same name, launches April 2 on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, two weeks before the series premiere. For more details, check out our preview from October and feature on the game.
